I had no idea GirlOnline would take off the way it has - I can't believe I now have 5432 followers, thanks so much! - and the thought of opening up to you all about this is terrifying, but here goes...
Penny has a secret.
Under the alias GirlOnline, she blogs about school dramas, boys, her mad, whirlwind family - and the panic attacks she's suffered from lately. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets the gorgeous, guitar-strumming Noah. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.
But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.

GUYS THIS IS THE CUTEST BOOK I HAVE READ IN A LONG WHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book is about this popular anonymous blog run by the main character, Penny, and she blogs about her life and stories. When something embarrassing happens to Penny, she takes the chance to leave Brighton and come to New York. There she meets Noah and then things happen from there.

Well after I finished the Covenant series, I was in a small book hangover since I got so attached to the characters and the world and I just wasn't ready to come to terms with reality.

So I was in a mood for a cute and light contemporary book that wouldn't break my heart and lead my emotions one so I picked up Girl Online and I'm so ecstatic that I did.

You know what you don't see in YA fiction?
FAMILY!
You know what a family is right? Those people you're raised around with all your life that has the same blood and genes as you and they know everything about you and vice versa?
Clearly, I barely see any of that in YA nowadays. You either get one parent and someone absent, both absent, and half-assed parents barely there or don't care about their child. Same thing goes to siblings, they're half-assed and you barely even see them.

Penny's parents were so real and supportive of her. They were THERE for her. They were supportive of her blog, her anxiety, and just as a person. Their family traditions were so adorable and even her brother, Tom! He was probably present for about 33% of the time and whenever he had his moment to shine, he did and he felt real too.

Elliot was my absolute favorite. He had his own personality and I just love him so much. I wish I had a best friend like him and he's so supportive of Penny and Penny is so supportive of him too. He's so funny and weird and real. How can you not like Elliot?

The romance was adorable too. I admit it did had some insta-love but I enjoyed the book so much that I overlooked it and Noah and Penny were just too with each other and the things Noah did for Penny were so considerate and warming and made my heart swelled up twice it's size. Noah personality felt real and he's so cute! They're adorable together okay!!!!

When reading this book, you have to come with an open-mind. The book was light and innocent and some people say this could be considered a middle-grade book but even if it was, the book was entertaining and an enjoyable read. So don't expect something dramatic and climatic because you wont find it here. Don't take the book seriously, it was written to be fun!

In conclusion, it was a fun and entertaining read and I recommend it to anyone who's in the mood for something light, cute, fun, and fast read.

    1. Yeah many people felt neutral about the book since it's also pretty cliche but I enjoyed it.
